DANIEL IBILOMA ADEJO

Daniel Adejo joined First Bank of Nigeria Plc in April 1999 as an Executive Trainee. He headed the Curriculum Planning and Learning Advisory Unit of FirstAcademy before retiring voluntarily on September 15, 2012.

Daniel had 15 years private sector work experience which cuts across Shipping and Financial Services. He started his professional career in 1997 as the Communications & Liaison Executive, China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO West Africa Ltd), Lagos before joining First Bank of Nigeria Plc in 1999. His career with FirstBank widely covered Branch Operations (1999 – 2004) and Human Resource Management (2004 – 2012) spanning Customer Services, cash management, funds transfer, internal communication, change and culture management, Quality service orientation and Learning & Development functions.

He played a key role in the Service Quality Initiative of the bank tagged the SQI Project, which contributed largely to the revamp of service delivery in FirstBank, especially from the people orientation and culture point of view. He provided extensive support in Recruitment, Performance Management and Career Management before moving to Learning & Development functions of Human Capital Management Development in 2008. Prior to his voluntary retirement in September 2012, he headed the Curriculum Planning & Learning Advisory Unit, which was responsible for the FirstAcademy Project – A Corporate University of First Bank of Nigeria Plc, now fully operational. He became an Independent Training Consultant and a Faculty Member of FirstAcademy after his resignation from FirstBank.

Daniel has attended a couple of Trainers’ Programmes including Train-The-Trainers by FITC; and Making Learning User Friendly by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP); Certified Customer Service Trainer (CCST) by the Service Quality Institute, Minnesota, USA; and Certified Action Learning Coach (CALC), from the World Institute of Action Learning, USA.

An astute and passionate capacity building specialist, Daniel Adejo is one of the contributors to the prestigious “Journal of Communication & Corporate Reputation” edited by Prof Carrol Craig of the University of North Carolina, USA and published by Routledge in 2010.

Daniel holds an MA in Communication Arts from University of Ibadan, a BA in English Language from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR). He is also, member of the Harvard Project on Negotiation, a Harvard School of Law initiative to raise global team of faculty on Negotiation and Leadership.

He has attended and facilitated several training programmes and seminars on Service Management, Communication, Relationship Management, Self-Mastery (Personal Effectiveness, including Team Building), Human Resources Management, Change Management, Coaching, Learning & Development and Emotional Intelligence for both Private and Public Institutions.

 

Daniel resigned from the circular services in 2012 principally to focus on the demand for services in the vine yard of the Lord. By God’s leading he began mission work in the area of education, establishing a Tuition and Boarding free Secondary School christened “The Royal Signet College (RSC)”. Based in Idanyin Community in Agbara area of Ado Odo Ota LGA of Ogun State, the school is focused on raising Godly Offspring for the Kingdom. This is part of the Royal Link Christian Resource Development Centre, the ministry the Lord has laid in his hands and strongly backed by his wife, Sister Vivienne Uchenna Adejo.

Daniel is the Chairman of RSC Board of Trustees (BOT) and doubles as the RSC Director of Strategy.

The couple are blessed with five lovely kingdom seeds and all live together in the Rehoboth Camp Idanyin Community in Ado Odo Ota LGA of Ogun State, from where they operate.
